Bomdila :

The Bomdila is situated at an average elevation of  7923 feet (2415 metres) and it is the headquarter of West Kameng District of Arunachal Pradesh. Bomdila is one of the most famous tourist destination in Arunachal Pradesh after Tawang. The commonly tribes found in their are Bugun, Monpa, Shartang, Sherdukpen, Miji, Aka and many more.

Climate of Bomdila:

In winter season the climate of Bomdila is freezing and cloudy, and summer is cold and clear. So if you are planning to visit their in winter or summer season take some warm clothes with you.

Places to Visit :

Bomdila Monastery (Upper Gonpa) is the must visit tourist place if you are planning to visit this beautiful  town. You can also visit Lower Gonpa, Buddha Park, Crafts Centre (the crafts centre is situated just opposite of Lower Gonpa. ) and you can also roam across the market and purchase some local and traditional stuffs of this place. If you need taxi for roaming across this town then you can hire taxi from the taxi stand Bomdila situated near Buddha Stadium.

How to reach ?

You can reached Bomdila from Tezpur by road using shared taxi or by hiring private cabs from Tezpur. If you are planning to travel from a shared taxi it is advisable to book the tickets (two or three days) in advance by calling the A.S.T.C counter in Tezpur. The shared taxis runs two time a day, in the Morning and in the noon. The morning  shared taxis departs from Tezpur at 5:30 AM and arrives at Bomdila before noon and the noon sharing taxis departs at 11 : 30 AM and arrives at evening. Direct Bus services are not available.
